West Hallam Masterplan
We have produced the masterplan in 2017 for a proposed settlement of up to 1000 homes in Derbyshire on existing brown field industrial land, including a village centre with primary school and local convenience facilities. Existing landscape character is conserved and enhanced, including tree lined disused railway, woods and scattered trees. The rolling landscape provides opportunities for clusters of development to be screened from long views, edged by trees, hedgerows and retained farmland. A network of cycleways and footpaths provides sustainable travel between home and local village centres at West Hallam and IKeston. Public transport is focused on enhanced bus service linking to Spondon railway station, Ikeston, Derby and Mansfield.
