Masterplan for food growing campus and zero carbon homes

A masterplan concept for a sustainable village of up to 500 homes designed for well-being and response to the climate emergency, providing a zero carbon plan focused on sustainable food growing and education. The landscape masterplan creates food growing places, with locally distinctive character, natural landscapes, biodiversity gain and nitrate free water solutions, with governance strategies embedding all phases.

Village scale housing clusters centre on community workshops and an education campus creating a social hub with intimate and vibrant character. Public transport routes within 5 minutes walking distance ensures convenient access.

Walkable neighbourhoods enable people living in the settlement to walk and cycle with electric mobility aids and direct, safe and attractive routes, using a last-half-mile mobility hub to keep vehicles away from residential streets, with the campus providing a community concierge.
