Winning design for the Europan 3 competition 1993 we were appointed in 2000 with Dutch architect Architectuurcentrale and completed the project in 2005. 84 units were completed including family houses and 36 social rented flats for over 55 age group in Haarlem, Netherlands.

We created the new Station Forecourt public space for pedestrian access and drop off at Norwich Station, with a glazed canopy and river bridge crossings to the Riverside development.
Gary Young’s designs won the Civic Trust Award in 1985 for the Comyn Ching Triangle courtyard at Seven Dials, Covent Garden. The courtyard creates a unique and memorable place surrounded by restored historic 17th century listed houses and new building with a mixed commercial retail, office and residential uses. We obtained listing in 2016 for the entire group working in coordination with English heritage.

Place 54 Architects in 2009 created a strategy and design guide for Lambeth Council to provide shopfront improvements. We provided costed feasibility studies for individual shops and groups in a conservation area, working in coordination with commercial advisers.

Masterplan for a proposed town of up to 6000 homes in Hampshire, with existing rail infrastructure will provide excellent transport connectivity to Winchester, Basingstoke and London. The masterplan commenced consultation in 2018 includes station improvements, town centre amenities and employment, a secondary school, two village centres with primary schools and local convenience facilities.

The proposed villas in 30m walled plots have standard layouts with architectural elements articulated using patterns and forms derived from the local traditions, numeric orders and the natural environment.
Gary Young with Farrells designed the masterplan for A2 Dominion and Cherwell District Council providing 6000 true zero carbon homes, local centres, education, community, retail & business uses. The award winning exemplar phase for 400 homes was granted planning permission in 2012. Construction was completed for a first group of 100 homes with residents moving in 2016,with a further 100 homes per year currently being completed.
